Frieling good- activating sponsorship between Friels Cider and Record Store Day

As Friels cider continues its remarkable growth, now being the number 1 canned craft cider, the brand once again aligned itself with the resurgence of vinyl. For the second year running, Friels have sponsored Record Store Day – the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture.

Where did BK come into all this?

We helped to celebrate this partnership by creating the ‘Friel Good’ roadshow. We offered vinyl enthusiasts the chance to sample the premium taste of Friels Vintage Cider and win some great classic prizes.

Travelling in style

As part of the promotion, we had a very cool vintage camper VW bus touring the country from Halifax to Huddersfield to Liverpool,  parking up outside key Vinyl stores. The van then opened up into a pop up bar, with us offering out a chilled glass of ‘Pure Refreshment’ to passers by. The addition of the music coming out of the van helped to create a relaxed, cool and unique atmosphere proving to be a real hit with customers.

The result?

A vintage styled activation team served chilled Friels from branded trays in the sampling zones and also invited customers to enter into the competition by which you could win a free crate of Friels Cider and a Rega turntable.

Over 2,000 samples were provided during the day and we had over 1,000 entries into the competition.

Beep Beep …..keep your eyes peeled, our next stop will be Crate Diggers in Brighton on the 11th May 2019.
