Joni Swanston
A true sporting enthusiast, Joni studied Sports Marketing and Management at Northumbria University, before working for the Newcastle Falcons on a woman’s rugby tournament, chosen the following year as the National Women’s Tournament. Joni joined Banana Kick in November after a desire to follow her passion for sports marketing.
Competitive Joni is not a force to be reckoned with. Taking part in the BBC 3 show ‘Last Woman Standing’ is just one in a long list of her sporting achievements to date, playing Women’s Rugby for Ulster and Richmond, Netball for Northern Ireland and Sailing for Ireland.
In her spare time, Joni enjoys spending time with her fiancé and dog, making (and eating) pizzas and burgers- just what you’d expect from our Northern Irish athlete. Her secret talents include seeing off a pint faster than any man she’s ever met and putting her leg behind her head, not at the same time- but watch this space…
