The 27th July 2011 marks one year to go until the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and SportsAid Yorkshire and Humber (Y & H) are launching a campaign that offers businesses in Yorkshire an opportunity to align themselves with elite athletes and stars of the future.
SportsAid Y & H has been supporting Yorkshire’s brightest sporting prospects for more than 30 years.
Working with several high profile SportsAid athletes and Olympic hopefuls including triathletes Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee (U23 World Champion 2010 and ITU World Champion 2009 respectively) and Taekwondo World Champion Sarah Stevenson, the charity is launching a digital campaign that will target businesses through www.thebusinessdesk.com/yorkshire
The campaign strategy and concept was developed by Banana Kick with a clear aim of encouraging Yorkshire businesses to work with SportsAid in the run up to the Games and beyond.
Next year represents a once in a lifetime opportunity for businesses to help create a real legacy for sport in the region, whilst supporting a well established charity to achieve business objectives.
Rob Clarke, from SportsAid Y & H said: “Businesses in Yorkshire have a unique opportunity to support and share in the success of the OIympians and Paralympians of the future as London 2012 approaches.”
The campaign, which includes sponsorship of the daily Business Desk email, banners and supporting editorial, will run from the 18th July to the end of September 2011.
Rob Clarke continued: “It was great working with Banana Kick on this campaign which we hope will inspire businesses to enjoy the benefits of supporting young athletes on their journey to success.”
Banana Kick have been proud supporters of SportsAid since they were established three years ago and are delighted to have had a role to play in making this campaign happen at a time when sport is high on the agenda.
