We were asked by Active Bradford to develop a new brand identity, design style and website, which would be used as a portal for all activities and events in the city, and will also be used to promote the inaugural Bradford Sports Awards.

Active Bradford is a partnership of organisations – including Bradford City, West Yorkshire Sport and Sport England – committed to making Bradford a healthier and more active city.

Identity

Form the range of identities presented to the board of Active Bradford, the chosen identity incorporates the values that the city of Bradford stands for: diversity, communities, inclusivity and vibrancy.

We then developed the fully responsive Active Bradford website, using the new creative style and identity.

The brief was to create a website which would host the new strategy for making Bradford an active city, provide information on ‘What’s On’ in the city and to have a page specific to the Bradford Sports Awards.

We have also been managing Active Bradford’s Twitter account, focusing on drumming up interest for the Bradford Sports Awards.

We created a strategy based around targeting athletes and other influential people in sport in the Bradford area, encouraging them to spread the word, and hopefully come along to the awards themselves. 

The content varies from event-based activity, with messages regarding tickets, nominations and finalists, to sharing local sporting news from clubs and teams at all levels.
