The Banana Kick team of Richard, Lee, James, Emma, Thea, Mark and Sarah ran the Jane Tomlinson Run For All Hull 10k at the weekend.
The Hull 10k is the first in a series of 3 which includes Leeds and York. James (Peter Pan) Tabberer crossed the line in a remarkable 41 minutes (show off!) with the rest of the team running respectable times in under an hour (mostly).
The camp Banana Olympic training levels of fitness were called upon as the sun shone throughout the race. “Immense”, “remarkable” and “mind-blowing” were some of the superlatives used by the many supporters when describing Team Banana Kick’s exploits. It was a great day and the post-race refreshments went on into the night.
Men’s winner Joshua Rowe completed the city centre route in 34 minutes 32 seconds followed by the first female Elaine Storey in 39 minutes 01 seconds. Over 4,000 runners competed in the event which raised money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and many other worthy causes.

Captain Hook, you’re only jealous. Mind you, you shaved two minutes off my actual time, so thanks for that.
