Driving into work on Valentine’s Day I was greeted by a rather imposing 48 sheet poster site from Renault promoting the new ‘Wind’ sports coupe. ‘Secs Sells’ read the headline, referring to the 9 seconds it takes to retract the roof. Well here’s more. The poster site in question is positioned on the Leeds inner ring road, directly behind which is the Adult Sexy Superstore. I’ll remind you again that it is Valentine’s Day!
Luck this is not. Working in the creative industry I know that these things don’t just happen; they are as a result of inspired thinking. So I would like to congratulate Renault on a superb piece of media buying, reassuring me that brave, clever or in this case ‘cheeky’ advertising is very much alive and well in Leeds.
