A leisurely Oscar

In 1976 Bruce Petty won an Oscar for his animation Leisure. Charting the rise of leisure from the dawn of man to the mid twentieth century it shows the evolution of leisure time.

Better still the film provides a neat definition of what leisure is – the pursuit that covers doing “nothing to pulling a cartilage for your country”. What a great description.
